About this Event
Is it proper to speak about a 'Black' reading of the Bible given the universality of the Christian message? These lectures will show how the particular traditions of Bible reading in the Black Christian community developed as a particular enculturation of the saving truths of the Christian faith that add to rather than detract from the work of knowing and understanding God. It will point to the gifts that the Black church brings to the body of Christ.
