Dr. Malcolm Himschoot, one of the first openly transgender clergy in the United Church of Christ and subject of the award-winning film, Call Me Malcolm, as he reads from his theo poetic memoir. Malcolm will reflect on the pain of religious trauma directed toward queer people and on the beauty and power of genuine Christianity that supports love, liberation, and joy.
This event is co-hosted by the Center for Sustainable Justice at Lyndale UCC, Plymouth Congregational Church, and First Congregational of Minnesota UCC.
