About this Event
You are invited to attend this reading group to discuss interdisciplinary, critical writing on non-monogamies from an intersectional perspective.
The reading group has been primarily designed for postgraduate students, but staff are also welcome.
In the session we will discuss articles by Kean and Klesse that approach non-monogamy from queer and intersectional perspectives.

Authors Bios
Dr Jessica Kean is a Senior Lecturer at the University of Sydney, holding positions in the discipline of Gender and Cultural Studies in the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, and the Interdisciplinary and Engaged Learning team in the division of Curriculum Futures in the central university Portfolio of Education & Students. Her monograph Situating Non-monogamies: mononormativity and intimate culture is forthcoming from Palgrave McMillan.
Dr Christian Klesse is Professor of the Sociology of Contemporary Intimacies at Manchester Metropolitan University His research interests lie in the fields of gender and sexual politics, consensual non-monogamy, transnational LGBTQIA+ activism, bisexuality, and queer diaspora studies. He has done research in many European countries, focusing on practices of solidarity across borders and boundaries.
