Reading & Craft with a Ranger

Join a ranger for a story followed by a craft that goes along with the story. This program is for park visitors of all ages and is kid friendly.
Date: Sunday, August 23rd, 2026
Time: 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm
Location: Ice Age Fossils State Park - Check in with the front desk
Need to Know
• The location of this program (indoors or outdoors) will be determined the morning of the event.
• Minors under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
• Participants should arrive about 15 minutes early to get checked in prior to the start of the program.
What to Expect
• This program will begin with a children’s book being read aloud by one of our rangers followed by a craft that ties in with the story.
• The crafts will use basic art and crafting supplies like construction paper, safety scissors, glue sticks, crayons/colored pencils/markers, etc.
Fees & Registration
• The $3 per person (kids 12 and under are free) entry fee applies.
• There is no additional cost for this program.
• No registration required.
