What role can reading and writing practices have in countering ageism in the community and media, and in providing insight into the particularities and possibilities of ageing in Australia and Aotearoa? This two day symposium aims to foster a broad-based conversation around how a range of reading and writing practices might create diverse and nuanced understandings of ageing, generate wellbeing and connection for older people in Australia and Aotearoa, and advance understandings of the role of care and strategies to support carers.
