A visionary poet will talk about the inspirations for his latest book, present a reading, and answer questions from the audience
About this Event

An "unforgettable poet who writes with assurance and authority," Tom Laichas will read from his new collection Three Hundred Streets of Venice California and from his Star Catalogue and Benton Way cycles. Laichas will also chat about his work and answer audience questions.

Tom Laichas's work is remarkably diverse - "Sixty-Three Photographs From The End Of A War" explores how the experience of being a soldier affects a family using personal examples, while "Empire of Eden" probes religion and metaphysics. His new book, "Three Hundred Streets of Venice, California" is about the way we see the world, featured through experiences in one neighborhood. Tom will talk about his inspirations and work, read some poems, and then engage in conversation with host Richard Foss. Following this there wil be a Q&A session with the audience, with books available for sale and signing afterwards.
