Reading Allowed – Act 2
Following on from our highly successful Reading Allowed – “The Crucible” event, we are delighted to announce that we will be holding another such session – Reading Allowed – Act 2
It will be on Monday, 22nd June 2026 at 7.00 - 8.30p.m. in the library. We will gather together this time to read Willy Russell’s “Our Day Out”. This play will be in stark contrast to our previous choice of text. Hopefully it will prove to be a light-hearted and entertaining script. And people will be treated to an evening of fun and laughter.
If you are interested in coming along, you can reserve your place by contacting the library and leaving your name and contact details.
Admission is free and refreshments will be provided. However, voluntary donation would be welcome to help cover the cost of borrowing the scripts and the postage.
Again we hope you will join us and that you will feel able to take a part and read aloud, but if you feel unable to do so, we think you will simply enjoy listening to the rest of us having a go, and maybe at some point you may get the urge to participate.
Looking forward to spending time with you again.
Pauline Berry & Wendy Bell.
