A space where Butoh and Contact Improvisation dancers come together with live musicians, where sound and motion meet, influence, and reshape one another.Here, we explore what happens when awareness meets instinct,
and when the body becomes a listening instrument for the unseen.
We imagine a space to study improvisation through both the conscious and subconscious mind, a place to test our edges, discover what lies just beyond them, and perhaps encounter a quiet trace of the unknown.
✨ What to Expect
* Butoh — raw, grounded, and expressive.
* Contact Improvisation — spontaneous, fluid, and responsive.
* The Intersection — a shared improvisation where Butoh and CI merge,
guided by the live presence of musicians.
🌿 This is not a polished show or a staged performance.
It is a living exploration, research, of presence, of listening,
of what can emerge when we let go of what we know.
At 6pm dancers and musicians will gather to connect, move, attune, and discuss the score to prepare an atmosphere that will come alive only through the presence of witnesses.
Doors open at 7:30. Performance takes place at 8pm.

Include your full name and indicate whether you wish to join as a dancer (Butoh/CI), musician(instrument), or witness.
Please note:
**Space is limited to 8 dancers, 4 musicians, and 16 audience members.
**Dancers and audience members contribute on a sliding scale of $20–$25.
**Depending on audience participation, dancers’ contributions may be partially or fully refunded.
