Reach The Peaks - Langsett Reservoir ?

Join us for our next group walk, a lap up and around Langsett Reservoir!

This time out we will be starting at Langsett Flouch Car Park, A616, S63 9DF ?and the route itself is a little over 7km / 4.5 miles. The majority of the walk is trail paths or paved so nothing challenging.

We will first head through the woodland north of the reservoir, before crossing The Little Don and heading up over the reservoir for some panoramic views across the whole thing.

From there we head down to the the dam wall and past the Waggon & Horses pub where we can potentially stop in for a rest and a drink if people fancy it. Then we head alongside the reservoir to bring us back up to the car park.

Usually, this walk down the river and back would take around 2 hours, but to allow for taking in the scenery and accommodating a potential stop in the pub, we have scheduled it to take around 2.5-3 hours.

As always, we'd recommend bringing some small snacks and a water bottle along to keep yourself fueled and hydrated ??
