In this two hour workshop, Join Jackie and Lisa as they guide you into an opportunity to heal the past through re-writing the narrative of possibilities within the arc of our fathers' stories. Narrative work is a potent somatic process of healing. The stories we tell ourselves greatly impacts how we are living our lives and feeling within our bodies. When we discard and repress any part of our parents' lives, we deject an essential aspect of ourselves.
No matter the kind of relationship you have with your father, we will make space to grieve what was missed, lost or misplaced in our lives within the relationship with them. We will then have an opportunity to widen our lens and see our fathers as vulnerable human beings who were touched by life, just as we have been. With one eye soft and one eye sober we will hold the paradox of how we have been hurt/impacted by them and the possibilities of what could have been as a way to reclaim the gifts of our father's line.
We will see that we do not just carry down the pain and trauma of our ancestors, but also their soul strengths and gifts whether they were able to express them out into the world or not. We will dig a little deeper into the true essence of our fathers and re-write the story.
There will be time to grieve, process, transform and celebrate all that we are. When we release the shame, enter into a process of compassion, grieve the losses and reclaim the story - one of tragic beauty and possibility - we heal.
This will be a powerful two hours together that will include gentle movement, ritual, writing and art.

**Please bring a photo of your father if you have one and/or a momento that speaks to you from your paternal line. If you do not know your father, that is ok - bring yourself and you will bring all that you need.
