Join the SMC Film Club for an exclusive event featuring Sheila Ivy Traister, a screenwriter, director, actor, and educator with nearly five decades of experience in the entertainment industry. Sheila is a SAG-AFTRA board member, active on six national film committees, and a member of WGA and DGA. Her advocacy for inclusiveness spans work with performers of diverse backgrounds, military veterans, and the creation of the acting department at Colorado Film School.

In this interactive workshop, Sheila will share invaluable insights into:

Getting to the Center for Media and Design Campus

Parking
Park in the yellow Santa Monica College parking structure on Pennsylvania Ave. A parking permit is required for Fall 2024, available for $18 online or in person at the SMC Cashier's Office.

Public Transit

• Big Blue Bus: Runs every 15 minutes to CMD, PAC, Bundy, and Airport campuses. Use your GoPass for free rides (ensure your Student Benefits fees are paid and GoPass is re-registered each semester).
• Evening Lyft Rides: After 6 PM, use Lyft code SUM24SMC for free rides between campuses or the nearest Metro station.
