Terry was responsible not only for the commissioning of Vaughan Williams' mass, but for encouraging music by Howells, Holst, and Bax, whose flowing lines and intricate writing were influenced by the Renaissance masters.
New Cambridge Singers present an opportunity to hear these epic choral works alongside the intimate choral and organ music of William Byrd which inspired them. And we bring things right up to date with a startling re-imagining of Byrd's famous 'Ave verum corpus', by the renowned baritone and composer, Roderick Williams.
