Introductory workshop of Contact Improvisation
Open to all levels
In this workshop we will focus on the different states of listening through movement to oneself, to others, and to the surrounding environment.
As a movement practice that emphasizes the principles of movement (such as gravity or mutuality of touch) rather than set steps, Contact Improvisation fosters the intense listening that allows developing the relationship of the mover to every moment.
Through different exercises we will practice paying attention to the subtleties of every moment and tracking and inhabiting the personal richness of every dancer. We will work on understanding the organization of our bodies whilst being in connection with others.
