Pathways of Patience is a trauma-informed, accessibility-centered workshop series designed to gently support LGBTQ+ community members in navigating complex systems of care. While this space is open to all LGBTQ+ people, it is intentionally designed with sensitivity to the lived experiences of individuals who are disabled, Black, Indigenous, people of color, living with chronic illness, and those who are system-impacted or financially limited. The series acknowledges that many community members feel excluded, overwhelmed, or harmed by traditional systems, and affirms that these experiences are not a reflection of personal shortcoming
This particular session will focus on Re-Entering Employment & Education, providing a foundational overview of workforce re-entry programs, GED and continuing education pathways, vocational training opportunities, and record-sensitive hiring practices in the DMV region.
