Re-Enactment of the First Public Reading of The Declaration of Independence on July 8th 1776

The first public reading of the Declaration of Independence took place in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, on July 8, 1776. Colonel John Nixon read the document to a large crowd of citizens in the State House Yard (now known as Independence Square).
The Re-enactment of the reading of "The Declaration of Independence" will be performed at The Veterans' Park in Riverton Wyoming starting at 4:00 pm, 8 July 2026, 250 years after the very first public reading of The Declaration of Independence. The reading will be going on at the same time in communities across the the United States.
Come and take part in the celebration of the Anniversary of this historical occasion.
Attendance is free and everyone is invited to attend.
