About this Event
The Research Computing Center (RCC) invites you to the Visualization Lab Open House and Visualization Challenge Showcase, an afternoon highlighting RCC’s visualization services, interactive research demos, and student work in data visualization.
This event offers an opportunity to learn how RCC supports researchers through scientific visualization, biomedical image analysis, 3D/VR/AR visualization, immersive research demos, large-scale display environments, interactive data exploration, and digital twin consultation and workflow support. The Visualization Lab helps researchers explore, present, and communicate complex data through tools and platforms such as the VisWall, ParaView, 3D Slicer, Blender, OpenSpace, SAGE3, Voxon, and Meta Quest Pro.
Attendees will be able to experience several demos, including but not limited to the VisWall with multiple interactive examples, a digital twin of the Zar Room, scientific and biomedical visualization workflows, the Voxon volumetric display, and the Meta Quest Pro headset.
Participants in the Visualization Challenge will also showcase their work during the open house, providing an opportunity to interact with presenters, learn more about their projects, and celebrate innovative approaches to research data visualization.
