Please join us in celebrating the life and legacy of César Chávez, founder of the United Farmworkers Union.
On Saturday night, March 28, the Royal Chicano Air Force will present a concert of poetry and music at the Guild Theater. This event honors César Chávez, along with Dolores Huerta, and Larry Itliong, who began the struggle to unionize farmworkers in the 1960s. We will remember Chávez’s commitment to non-violence and the pivotal role he played in igniting the Chicano Movement.
The concert will feature Paloma Negra, led by singer Araceli Collazo and musical director Dominic García. They will perform songs in both English and Spanish from the Farmworker Movement, as well as songs of other struggles, love, and commitment. This performance will also celebrates 20 years of collaboration between Collazo and García.

El sábado 28 de marzo por la noche, el Royal Chicano Air Force (Real Fuerza Aérea
Chicana) presentará un concierto de poesía y música en el Teatro Guild. Este evento
rinde homenaje a César Chávez, junto con Dolores Huerta y Larry Itliong, quienes
iniciaron la lucha por la sindicalización de los trabajadores agrícolas en la década de
1960. Recordaremos el compromiso de Chávez con la no violencia y el papel
fundamental que desempeñó en el impulso del Movimiento Chicano.
El concierto contará con la participación de Paloma Negra, dirigida por la cantante
Araceli Collazo y el director musical Dominic García. Interpretarán canciones en inglés
y español del Movimiento de Trabajadores Agrícolas, así como canciones sobre otras
luchas, amor y compromiso. Esta presentación también celebrará los 20 años de
colaboración entre Collazo y García.
