Curated by Sukanya and Anoushka Shankar the Ravi Shankar Ensemble is a multi generational collective dedicated to the enduring legacy of the legendary musician Ravi Shankar. In their debut tour the ensemble performs with visual elements from the Ravi Shankar archives alongside a dynamic selection of Shankars soul stirring music. The Ensemble includes Shubhendra Rao on sitar Aayush Mohan on sarod Ravichandra Kulu on flute Padma Shankar on violin Anubrata Chatterjee on tabla and BC Manjunath on Mridamgam, Ravi Shankar had an indelible imprint on global music history and culture. A virtuosic Indian composer known for his mastery of the sitar Shankar was a leading Hindustani musician reshaping the centuries old form and introducing Western audiences to the classical tradition of Indian ragas.
