For our next lecture we are pleased to have Professor Thomas O’Connor of Maynooth University who will speak on the Irish Colleges on the Continent.
His format is:
Introductory remarks: the continental colleges, historiography, Catholicism and Nationalism
Early modern religious change, geopolitics, colleges origins
Finances and influence
Change and challenges in the 17th and 18th centuries
Conclusion
