About this Event

Please join us for a wonderful cultural festival of Chariots on Sunday, July 24, 2022 starting at 11:00 am at

1st Street and 8th Ave SW.

It is observed by taking an image of a deity in a procession through the streets in Chariot. Chariot is accompanied by hundreds of thousands of onlookers and marching bands with scores of drummers, Singers and dancers. The cart is towed by the crowd along the two-mile parade route in a festive celebration; symbolizing a journey from darkness to light.

It starts as a procession down Stephen avenue and concludes at the Shaw Millennium Park, where there is free vegetarian feast, with cultural performances and enactment of dramatic plays.
