Rastapé, one of Brazil’s most beloved forró bands, brings 25 years of high-energy, accordion-driven dance music to Black Cat DC on Friday, September 11, 2026, at 8 PM, presented by the Brazilian Cultural Center EducARTE. With hits like “Colo de Menina,” “Namoro,” and “Beijo Roubado,” and over two million albums sold, Rastapé’s concert promises an irresistible night of “arrasta-pé” that spans contemporary and classic forró songs. Founded in 1999 by Paraíba-born accordionist Jorge “Seu Jorge” Lunguinho and now featuring three generations of the same family, Rastapé has toured across Brazil, Europe, China, and the United States, captivating audiences worldwide with their joyful, dance floor-filling sound.
