Rare-concert alert! Bay Area folk quartet EUPHONIA last performed in 2016 (we think). At the special request of house-concert hosts Charlie Fenton and Susan Wageman, EUPHONIA has dusted off its vintage repertoire and polished up new gems specifically for this command performance at a private home near Oakland's Lake Merritt.EUPHONIA artfully blends traditional and modern songs from North America with cafe tunes from around the globe and features the sublime voice of song-sleuth/singer Sylvia Herold. Melodies from France, Venezuela, Quebec, and Spain weave through irresistible songs from the likes of John Hartford, Gillian Welch, Richard Thompson, and Stephen Foster.
The quartet brings together the compelling voices, restless minds, and nimble fingers of these four remarkably versatile Bay Area musicians:
• Sylvia Herold (Wake the Dead, Sylvia Herold Ensemble) on vocals and guitar.
• Paul Kotapish (Wake the Dead, New Vintage Revelers, Sugar Mountain) on mandolin and vocals.
• Charlie Hancock (Erica & Friends, The Bogues) on accordion.
• Chuck Ervin (Sons of the Pioneers) on upright bass and vocals.

—We will acknowledge your reservation within a few days of receiving it, and send you the address and other details at that time. Once we have reached capacity, we will keep a waiting list in order of receipt, as usual.
—Masks are optional but recommended. Please cancel if you are not feeling well.
