Join us to meet some of your wildest neighbors at NatureFest in Runnymede Park on Saturday, September 29th. You’ll have a chance to meet our hawks, owls, and tiny falcon up close and learn about the exciting birds of prey living in the park and even right in your own backyard. We’ll tell you about their lives, their important role in a healthy ecosystem, give you some hints on how to find them, and share the ways we can all help these beautiful birds continue to thrive in our increasingly human world – because they really are very good neighbors! You might even get to take a selfie with your favorite raptor.NatureFest 2024 is a family-friendly, hands-on nature event hosted by the Friends of Runnymede Park and the Herndon Department of Parks & Recreation.
