Good morning! The Joplin Emergency Communications Center is pleased to host a Lunch and Learn with RapidSOS and Prepared Live on October 17th from 10am-3pm at the Joplin Public Safety training Facility, 5102 Swede Lane, Webb City MO. RapidSOS and Prepared have recently teamed up to provide ECC’s with even more situation awareness with our 9-1-1 callers, and are excited to share their technology with you! Included in the invitation is a free lunch!Most of you are familiar with RapidSOS, and may be currently using it. The addition of Prepared’s integration with RapidSOS is a game changer. This brings so much more information into the ECC.
For those that have not heard of Prepared, here is a brief description of their product: At Prepared, we're leveraging the power of everyday technology to transform the way we communicate during emergencies. We believe that every community should be equipped with modern solutions for modern emergencies. Our mission is to build tools that advance public safety by making emergency communication more efficient and effective than ever before. Prepared Live is a free-for-PSAPs platform that enables communities to leverage existing technology to strengthen emergency information flow and improve public safety. The platform allows 911 PSAPs to access live video, photo, GPS location, and text messaging on any mobile call they receive. This information can be shared with first responders in real-time, ensuring that they arrive on-scene faster and better informed.
For those that have not heard of or use RapidSOS, here is a brief description of their product:
Before the Phone Rings: Data-First Requests for Service. From location accuracy to additional data, the public safety industry has seen major technological advancements over the past few years. Today, new solutions enable data delivery from non-human initialized incidents directly to the screens of telecommunicators, sometimes before the phone even rings. This presentation will highlight many of those data streams being delivered to 911 through RapidSOS.
