40 years after Scotland first enacted rape shield legislation, the debate on how to protect the privacy and dignity of complainers whilst safeguarding the accused’s right to a fair trial continues. SASO West of Scotland welcomes you to join the debate in a rare opportunity to hear two of Scotland’s leading criminal lawyers, Thomas Leonard Ross KC and Angela Gray KC, debate the motion:

"Has the protection of alleged victims' sexual history in Scottish rape trials gone too far".
