About this Event
In this 2-day workshop, Broadway performer Juliane Godfrey will lead you through a series of exercises integrating spoken word, percussion, and movement to create a rap-and-tap performance of your own making!
As we share and draft written versions of our own stories, we'll learn about the historical origins of both rap and tap-dancing, using poetry and percussive accompaniment to underscore your piece.
Moreover, we'll explore why not only writing but physically embodying our own personal narratives is one of the best things we can do to strengthen the mind-body connection.
