🏆About the Weekend
Join us for a beach volleyball bash all weekend long in Lido Key Beach. This is more than a beach volleyball tournament—it’s an experiential weekend, a Volley Vacay, and a tournament for beginners all the way through the Pro/Olympian level.
This year marks the 15th Anniversary of the Ranse Classic, and we’ve taken the event up a notch. The roots of it remain the same: celebrating the memory of Ranse & the game he loved, while raising money for an incredible cause.

👇🏽 ABOUT THE LEGACY
Fifteen years ago, the volleyball world lost one of its brightest lights — Ranse Jones. Known for his dedication to growing the game and his passion for teaching anyone who wanted to learn, Ranse was more than a pro beach volleyball player; he was a mentor, a friend, and a force for community.
In 2010, Ranse suffered a severe aneurysm on the court. For six months, the volleyball community rallied around him, raising money and hope as his mother, Sherry Jones, fought for her son’s recovery. When Ranse passed on November 8, 2010, the hole he left in our hearts was immense — but so was the drive to continue his mission.
Now, in the 15th year of this iconic tournament, we come together once again to celebrate Ranse’s life and carry on his legacy. Proceeds benefit the Ranse Jones Stroke Awareness Fund at Broward Health North, advancing stroke education, awareness, treatment, and community support.
This event is more than volleyball — it’s about community, legacy, and making a difference.

• Open/Pro: $2,000 in committed cash prizes (1st–3rd place), double elimination, best 2 of 3 format
• A, BB, Beginner: pools of 4–5, top 3 advance, single elimination playoffs, Wilson OPTX balls + swag
