Rani Padmaavati (Queen of Chittor) is the story of the a fearless woman and her sacrifice to uphold her honour and the women of her kingdom. Padmaavati hails from Singhal, Sri Lanka and gets married to the King of Mewar, Maharawal Ratan Singh. After marriage, disaster befalls when the Sultan of Delhi, Muslim ruler Alaudin Khilji comes to know of Padmaavati. He wishes to capture her and conquer Mewar, but not without a fight. After Padmaavati learns of her husband's martyrdom, she performs Jauhar (self immolation) to protect her honour.
