  • An introduction to the world street art activism through the lens of the work of Keith Haring. The first part of this workshop will include an overview of street art and the impact it has a tool of both self-expression and social/cultural activism.
  • The focus will be on 20th Century American artist Keith Haring with an introduction to his life and his work. Then students will enjoy the cathartic experience of creating a piece of artwork inspired by Keith Haring's artistic style that will be an expression of their own personal commentary on a social or cultural issue that is important to them.
  • The art piece will be completed by the end of the workshop so that students may take it home with them to enjoy and hopefully place on the street for others too experience as well.
