R&J: The Edinburgh Pop-Up

Romeo & Juliet is popping up in Edinburgh.

​Two days. Seven events. One introduction, when it’s right.

​On 30 & 31 May, we’re taking over Stoodio on Thistle Street for a weekend of beautifully designed social experiences for people who are ready to meet someone properly. No profiles, no swiping, no small talk for the sake of it. Just carefully chosen people, thoughtful conversation, and the kind of atmosphere where connection feels natural.

​Each event has its own rhythm. Come to one or stay for several. Mornings built around long-table brunches, afternoons shaped by poetry, scent, sketching, and conversation, and evenings designed for flirtation, music, food, and unexpected chemistry.

​Every event includes drinks. Every attendee receives a referral code to share with someone they think belongs here. Tickets are split evenly between men and women. Capacity is limited at every session.

​Saturday 30 May

​The Social Table Brunch Club · 10:30am–12:30pm · £25

A free-flowing brunch built for real conversation. Good food, good drinks, and the particular energy of a room full of people who actually want to be there. Come hungry. Leave with someone’s number.

​Afterglow Poetry & Conversation · 1:30pm–4:30pm · £20

Purple Poetry (@purplepoetryy) will be in the room with their typewriter, listening to you and writing poems on the spot. Alongside original performances and a space dressed in love-centred prints and stories. Come as you are. Leave with a poem and the feeling of an afternoon well spent.

​Your Type Sip & Sketch · 5:30pm–7:30pm · £25

There is something quietly revealing about being observed, and something equally revealing about what you choose to notice. A relaxed evening of sketching and drinks. All materials provided. No experience needed. Just curiosity and a willingness to look.

​Sunday 31 May

​The Slow Table Brunch Club · 10:30am–12:30pm · £25

Like Saturday, but with nowhere to be. A long, unhurried Sunday morning with free-flowing food, drinks, and the kind of room where conversation keeps going long after the plates are cleared.

​The Scent Session · 1pm–3:30pm · £37

A guided fragrance experience built around connection and attraction. You’ll choose one of three blends before knowing what’s inside: Warm & Grounding, the feeling of being drawn in without knowing why. Bright & Electric, that first moment of recognition, alive and a little daring. Soft & Slow, when you stop holding back. Then you’ll make it entirely your own. Every guest leaves with a personal fragrance in a glass bottle, nestled in a linen pouch.

​Vinyl, Games & Aperitivo · 4pm–7pm · £30

A bespoke Romeo & Juliet aperitif created especially for the weekend, a curated vinyl soundtrack, and an evening of flirtatious parlour games. Three glasses of wine and one bespoke aperitif included per guest. The kind of room where conversations stretch longer than expected.

​The Match Table Supper Club · 8pm · £30

A sit-down dinner for strangers who might not stay that way. Sharing plates, drinks, and a table arranged for the kind of conversation that follows you home.
