R&B Night At Merchants Cigar Bar

On Wednesday, April 20th we have Carla G. coming down to set the mood with a mix of classic and contemporary R&B vocals. Additionally we'll be providing two complimentary cigars. One from our in-house hand roller and an additional premium cigar from our partners. Doors will open at 5:00pm and the show will start at 7:00pm.

Carla G. can be described in many ways but most will say that she is strong spirited with a bright personality. These traits are what kept her energy thriving as she traveled from coast to coast with her military family as a child. She gained her southern roots in Augusta, GA and her teenage years, in Tacoma, Washington. The Hampton University graduate moved to New York City to work the corporate media life by day and pursue her music career by night. In 2016, she took a leap of faith to pursue music and entertainment full time.

The multi-talented Carla G. can be considered many things but her main focuses include being a songwriter & vocalist and an event MC that can command any room she accompanies. She has been an event MC and held residencies throughout Manhattan showcasing her one woman show - Carla G’s Living Room.

Merchants Cigar Bar is a sleek midcentury styled lounge that transports guests to another place and time. True to the age of the decadent Havana High Life – legal indoor smoking, fresh sourced cocktail ingredients, and music playing till the early morning hours. Merchants architecture and décor is alluring and authentic. Every element is a modern adaptation of classic design. Guests descend down a striking mahogany paneled staircase brought to life with brass accents, floor to ceiling bronze mirrors, and diffused lights. Upon entering the lounge, a luxurious custom brass bar greets guests to the right, as intimate tables and bespoke leather booths welcome couples and larger groups to the left. The space is adorned with handmade Calico Wallpaper, and lighting fixtures by Triple Seven and Soho House. Featuring playful branding and artwork by noted Berlin-based agency Maison C.C. and illustrator Benedikt Rugar, Merchants Cigar Bar offers guests an environment fueled by intrigue with hints of glamour in every detail.
