Una serata a dir poco spaziale dedicata a tutti gli amanti della musica e dei balli degli anni '50!
☆ Che cosa troverai?
👉🏼 La festa sarà allo Sporting Dora, storico complesso sportivo creato come dopolavoro per i dipendenti Michelin negli anni '30 del secolo scorso, dotato di una sala da ballo magnifica che si presenta con il pavimento in legno originale del 1938.
👉🏼 Avremo una band eccezionale, gli Hoodoo Sinners, definiti gli Ambasciatori del Rhythm 'n Rockin' Blues e formata da musicisti provenienti da Svizzera, Regno Unito, Austria e Germania.
Saranno per la prima volta in assoluto a Torino, dopo aver calcato i palchi dei festival europei più importanti - come l'High Rockabilly, il Rockin' Race ed il Summer Jamboree!
👉🏼 Una brillante sorpresa verrà svelata durante la serata e ovviamente vi faremo scatenare con il nostro Record Hop a base di dischi originali a 45 giri: solo il meglio del Rhythm&Blues degli anni '50 perfetto per ballare il vostro stile preferito!
👉🏼 Tanti di voi conoscono già lo Sporting Dora per la sua lunga tradizione di location per eventi da ballo, con il suo bar, il grande palco e la magnifica sala da ballo con pavimento in legno.

• h. 21,30 apertura porte e warm-up con i vostri DJ Houserockin' Chris & Raffo the Twist
• h. 23,00 The Hoodoo Sinners LIVE!
• al termine del concerto continuano le danze con il Record Hop by Chris & Raffo
☆ Chi sono gli Hoodoo Sinners?
La loro presentazione recita così:
"Lo sentite il Rhythm and Blues, il twang e il rock?
È il richiamo degli Hoodoo Sinners!
Puoi metterci un po' di Rosco Gordon, un tocco di Link Wray e un pizzico di Bo Diddley.... Certo, non è così semplice.
Gli ambasciatori in nero posano le loro radici nel rock'n'roll degli anni '50 e '60 in un modo tutto loro, suonando un energico e carico blues, rockeggiante e twangy.
Il loro sound è solido e compatto dall’inizio alla fine, che si tratti di una versione accelerata di “No More Doggin’” oppure del loro selvaggio tema originale “Hoodoo Sinners”.
Contrabbasso e batteria pompano come un treno fumante del profondo sud, due chitarre si intrecciano tra melodie surf & turf, mentre una voce grezza e ululante si unisce in matrimonio con l’armonica blues urlante e il caldo sassofono.
Mescola tutto insieme e questo è il risultato: una potente performance dal vivo che fonde brani classici da crooner e rock travolgenti, con note lascive e peccaminose in stile Las Vegas Grind.

☆ What’s in store?
👉🏼 The event will be held at Sporting Dora, a historic sports complex created in the 1930s as a leisure center for Michelin employees. It features a magnificent ballroom with its original 1938 wooden floor.
👉🏼 We’re thrilled to host an exceptional band, The Hoodoo Sinners, known as the Ambassadors of Rhythm 'n Rockin' Blues. The band members hail from Switzerland, the UK, Austria, and Germany.
They’ll perform in Turin for the very first time after rocking the stages of Europe’s most renowned festivals, including High Rockabilly, Rockin' Race, and Summer Jamboree!
👉🏼 A dazzling surprise will be revealed during the evening, and of course, we’ll keep you dancing with our Record Hop, featuring original 45 rpm records. Expect nothing but the best 1950s Rhythm & Blues, perfect for dancing your favorite style!
👉🏼 Many of you are already familiar with Sporting Dora’s long-standing tradition as a dance event venue, complete with its bar, large stage, and stunning ballroom with a wooden floor.

• 9:30 PM: Doors open and warm-up with DJs Houserockin' Chris & Raffo the Twist
• 11:00 PM: The Hoodoo Sinners LIVE!
• After the concert: Keep dancing with Record Hop by Chris & Raffo

☆ Who are The Hoodoo Sinners?
It’s the rhyhtm and the blues, it’s the twang and the rock - it’s the Hoodoo Sinners callin’!
A fistfull of Rosco Gordon, adding a twist of Link Wray and top it up with some Bo Diddley? Well it’s not as simple as that. Thee ambassadors in black play 50s and 60s roots rock in their very own energetic and twangy rockin’ blues way.
Their sound is tight and solid all down the way, wether it’s an up tempo version of Rosco Gordon’s „ no more doggin“ or their own wild rockin’ „Hoodoo Sinners“ theme. There rides the doghouse bass and drums, pumpin’ like a steamin’ downsouth train. Two twangy guitars bringing up melodic surf and turf whilst that raw howlin’ voice calls the shoutin’ blues harp and that mellow saxophone to join. Blend it all together and this is what you get.
A powerful live performance merging classic crooner and rocking tunes with their own sleazy and sinful Las Vegas Grind butt shakers.
