RANA HAGGAG - ALI OMAR EL-FAROUK - AHMAD HANI at Room Garden City
Schedule

UTC+02:00Location
ROOM Art Space & Cafe | Cairo, QH
In this unprecedented performance, this trio presents a repertoire consisting of their own original compositions as well as some of their favourite and well-known jazz standards.
The unique thing about this concert is that this is the first time Ali Omar El-Farouk and Ahmad Hani perform together since 2008! Even though the two had collaborated together many times in the past, they had both moved out of Egypt a long time ago. With both of them being currently in Cairo, a long overdue reunion was in order, and they couldn’t be happier to share the stage with none other than the multi-talented Rana Haggag.
A one-of-a-kind performance not to be missed!

AHMAD HANI

Having Turkish-Egyptian family roots and being raised in Dubai at the Arabian-Persian Gulf then moving to Cairo at the Mediterranean and the Red Sea were enough reasons to create a musician like Ahmad.. saturated and familiar with varied cultures.
Starting playing the bass at the age of 20 was kind of a blessing for him as the self taught musician started to explore the instrument and finding his own way of playing and expressing his musical ideas and life experiences that he already had!
And by travelling the world as he performed more than 5000 concerts, TV shows and workshops in 50 countries and currently living between Turkey and Europe, Ahmad's diversified musical ideas were pied with more different colors and flavors.
