The State of Alabama is trying to make it a FELONY to support trans youth. While the hateful SB184 that threatens to throw parents and healthcare providers in jail is stalled up in the Courts, the legal system is now asking for confidential medical records of trans youth, which could lead to criminal charges under the new law. There is a hearing on Feb 8th in the continuing court case about whether or not SB184-and this blatant violation of healthcare privacy for trans youth-moves forward or is struck down.Join TAKE, Greater Birmingham Ministries, Socialist Alternative of Alabama and Birmingham DSA as we Rally for Trans Rights and Privacy from 5:30pm-7:30pm on Wednesday, Feb 8th at TAKE Resource Center (7769 2nd Ave S in Birmingham) to make our voices heard and make clear that Alabamans don't want our healthcare or our privacy taken away!
