Democratic Patriots:
As Thomas Paine, an American Revolutionary patriot stated: “These are the times that try men's (women’s) souls” in his 1776 publication - The American Crisis. Here we are in 2025 called to push back on tyranny again.
Americans resisted in such times before. Our times calls us to action. Scott Casey, vice president of the Jackson County Democratic Committee, shared that the Blue Springs Democrat
group had 20 NEW members appear at his meeting on Tuesday, February 18. That night there was a snow storm with brutal temperatures! People wanted to be involved!
The outcome of this rally will be:
to experience a gathering of concerned citizens (we are not alone).
to consider effective ways to push back.
to initiate a regular assembly schedule to keep current.
to connect with existing organizations to make our actions more powerful.
The cruel act of suddenly shutting down jobs with impunity will not be tolerated. The news stated recently 21 DOGE workers resigned because they would not be a part of destroying lives in such an unjust manner. That has been the American way which adheres to the principle of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness collaborating effectively based on mutual respect.
Let’s focus on the golden rule to living a life with compassion, ethical behavior and finding ways for all to have an abundant life through being involved, informed, and included.
