At the end of Operation Silent Night, and once every pet is in a home for the holidays, we will fill the Richmond Animal League shelter with luminaries for a beautiful, glowing tribute as we reflect on the remarkable work we can accomplish as a community of animal lovers. We'll celebrate the animals who have found new, loving homes just in time for the holidays, while remembering & honoring the pets and people who are held near and dear to our hearts.Learn more about Operation Silent Night here: tinyurl.com/mtc83hfm

The 2022 Luminary Ceremony will be held Wednesday, December 21st, and is free to attend and open to the public. Beginning at 5:30pm, we invite guests to start gathering outside RAL's Adoption Center for cookies and hot cocoa sponsored by Dog Krazy. The ceremony will begin at 6pm and will feature remarks from RAL's Executive Director Larry Eason and a non-denominational blessing of the animals with Christy Harman.
After the ceremony, guests are welcome to walk through the shelter glowing with luminaries.
