Heat - Fire - Smoke! Raku firing is an ancient Japanese technique. Raku firing involves removing pottery from the kiln while they are still glowing red (Heat) and placing it into containers with combustible materials. Once the sawdust and newspaper ignite (Fire), the containers are closed (Smoke). Fun and exciting to see!
