About this Event
Off The Wall Players, with support from The Museum of Homelessness, present: Raising The Roof
Join us on the 6th of June 2026, at 1:00 PM, for a day filled with fun, learning, and community spirit. Let's come together to raise money for people affected by Hurricane Melissa. Experience and celebrate all things Jamaican on the day. Try some delicious Jamaican Jerk Bar-B-Que, try your hand at dominoes, compete in a dance-off, or watch poetry and performances inspired by Jamaican culture. Don't miss out on this opportunity to make a difference and show your support.
Raising the Roof is a joyful community day filled with food, music, poetry, dominoes, dance‑off energy and pure vibes — all in support of families affected by Hurricane Melissa.
We’ve made the event free, so everyone in the community can join us.
If you’re able, we invite a pay‑what‑you‑can donation on the door — suggested £7.
Give what you can, no pressure. Every contribution supports All Hands and Hearts as they repair roofs and homes for families impacted by the hurricane.
Raising The Roof is a fundraising event where we can raise money, have fun, learn and celebrate Jamaican culture together.
See you there!
Dress code: Please wear one or any combination of the colours: Black, Green, Yellow and Gold. If not, we will have adornments in these colours to wear on the day.
You will find the museum Inside Finsbury Park, by Manor House Gate, next to Manor House Station.
If you are not able to join us and you wish to view the funding campaign, you can do so here:
