On Thursday, 3 March, Karén Khachikyan, the Founder of Robin The Robot, will join Ashot Arzumanyan, Partner at SmartGateVC, for a fireside discussion. Recently, Robin The Robot has raised a $2 Million seed round. A few months ago, Robin The Robot was recognized as TIME’s Best Invention of 2021 in the Robotics category. While the company is reaching one milestone after the other, the public is only aware of its achievements and not the challenges. During the event, Karén and Ashot will uncover the real story behind raising a seed round, Robin The Robot’s key learnings during its fundraising journey and share advice with entrepreneurs planning on raising a seed.
Karén Khachikyan is the CEO and Co-Founder of Robin The Robot. He is a robotics entrepreneur with 7+ years of industry experience, holding a Ph.D. in Electrical and Electronics Engineering. The company’s mission is to empower humanity through transformative technologies within the healthcare industry. Robin The Robot is an Autonomous Care Assistant that augments front-line clinicians across a multitude of settings by supporting caregiving functions and extending care services using emotional AI and autonomous technology advances. Last year, the company expanded its operations in Texas and Colorado while deploying 15 units in medical practices across the US. Last but not least, Robin The Robot was also among the honorees of Fast Company’s 2021 Innovation by Design Awards in the Impact category.
Ashot Arzumanyan is a Co-Founder and Partner at SmartGateVC - a Yerevan- and California-based venture capital fund backed by a network of investors, entrepreneurs, and professionals from the U.S., Europe, and MENA. The fund’s focus is on pre-seed investments in deep-tech (primarily everything computation/AI-related). SmartGateVC invests in companies that seek to launch in the U.S. and leverages the power of the community to help the portfolio companies with initial expansion.
