About this Event
We would like to invite families from the African Caribbean and other minority groups who have been directly affected or exposed to loss by suicide; to take part in our monthly Gathering.
Join us for an impactful event aimed at raising awareness of death by suicide in the BAME Community/Global Majority Community Taking place monthly on Saturdays. This in-person gathering promises to be an eye-opening experience.
Our event aims to create a safe space for open conversations about this sensitive topic. Through engaging discussions, personal stories, expert insights, and various activities we hope to foster understanding and provide support to those affected.
By attending, you'll have the opportunity to connect with individuals who have experienced or been exposed to the impact of loss by suicide first-hand. Together, we can break the stigma surrounding Suicide and work towards attempts to prevent future tragedies.
Join us as we come together to raise awareness, offer support, and promote a compassionate society. Together, we can make a difference.

I have a sense of guilt and shame—that is not overpowering but always lingers. I wonder what I could have done to help. I feel like I could have reached out in better ways. I knew that he was going through a tough time—and I feel like I didn’t do enough to help when I knew (participant 163).
