CALL FOR PROPOSALS
Dear Voice and Speech Colleagues,
We are thrilled to announce the call for submissions for the upcoming National Voice Association/Association Nationale de la Voix 2026 Conference. We are excited to gather again to share research and foster collaboration among voice professionals from around the country, this time in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains in Calgary.

Theme: “Raise Your Voice”

After the success of our inaugural conference at Brock University in St. Catharines, Ontario, we now look to continue exploring the many practices and traditions within voice work. We are inviting proposals for 60, 75, or 90-minute presentations, interactive workshops, and roundtable panel discussions that align with the conference theme “Raise Your Voice”.
Broad explorations of our theme are welcome - from passionate pleas, to composed assertiveness, to the need to be heard. “Raise Your Voice” is the NVA’s take on “Elbows Up” – a call to action, to anger, to speak your mind, and stand your ground. We hope our voices will be heard all the way to Banff.
New to this year is the NVA Premiere Offerings Panel. A chance for emerging voice teachers/scholars, grad-school candidates, and voice and speech practitioners that would like to explore 20-minutes of their new pedagogy or research in a safe and supportive environment. A separate call will be shared shortly. Stay tuned!
