Have your say on our plans for habitat restoration and access to nature at Rainton Meadows Nature Reserve.
About this Event

In 2025, thanks to our generous supporters, we were able to secure additional land and expand Rainton Meadows Nature Reserve. Now we are looking to the future of the new land and the wider reserve.

View our plans for habitat restoration, access to nature and find out more about our work for wildlife in this much-loved space.

Drop into Rainton Meadows on the following dates to find out more and have your say:

Saturday 17th, October
Saturday 24th October
Monday 26th to Friday 30th October

We will have a series of information boards to view, featuring details about the nature reserve's history, the phases of restoration that have happened since it was an opencast coalmine and our plans for the future, including how visitors can access nature around the reserve. There will be people on-hand to discuss the plans with you and you will have the opportunity to supply your feedback on the proposals.
