Rainbow Multicultural Fair

Celebrate Pride Month in style with our Rainbow Multicultural Fair, organised by ACON and the Inclusive Communities Network at the Bankstown Arts Centre.

Come along to a fun-filled festival that celebrates the colourful intersections of LGBTQ+ and cultural identity. Connect with your fellow LGBTQ+ multicultural community members! Enjoy music, live performances and engaging and empowering workshops.

What to expect?

Panel discussions, music, performances, stall activities, and engaging workshops to entertain and inform folks from all walks of life.

Poetry Workshop: Run by Sim, a 21-year-old Punjabi Photographer and poet from Western Sydney. She writes and performs curated diary entries of her life. Explore poetry techniques, writing tips, and write a poem drawing from your stream of consciousness.

Art Therapy Workshop: Run by Wellways, come along and join our workshop and encourage your self-expression… explore your emotions and thoughts through painting, a world of colour and excitement awaits!

We’ll be closing out our fantastic fair with a performance by Malaika and their band.

Malaika Mfalme {Angel King} is a non-binary singer, songwriter, guitarist, and event producer creating on Gadigal Land. Malaika writes immersive and evoking music that focuses on black love, self-acceptance, grief, and the journey of being loved and sometimes lost. Malaika is here to create a safe space focused on healing with a powerful message of kindness, acceptance and reflection vibrating through every one of their sonic outputs. Mfalme’s ink-stained fingers play sweet melodic guitar alongside strikingly smooth vocals layered with a looping pedal; reminding you their name is Angel for a reason.
