With the 2026 General Election approaching, Rainbow Wellington and the Public Service Association invite you to Rainbow Futures - an election debate bringing together political parties to talk about the issues that matter to rainbow communities.
Rainbow New Zealanders have made significant progress over the past 40 years, but questions remain about what comes next. From protecting the rights of rainbow people and ensuring safe and inclusive workplaces, to addressing discrimination, healthcare, housing, education and the wellbeing of our communities - what will our political leaders do to build a better future?
Rainbow Futures will put the questions directly to political representatives and ask them to outline their party’s policies, priorities and commitments for rainbow communities.
This is an opportunity to hear where the parties stand, challenge them on the issues that matter, and look beyond slogans to ask: what will you actually do?
