Join us Saturday, November 1st, from 10-11:30 am at Mercer Arboretum & Botanic Gardens (22306 Aldine Westfield Rd., Humble, TX, 77338) for a Rain Barrel Workshop! 🌧️🛢️This workshop will consist of a supply pickup, hands-on presentation, opportunities to explore the property, and Q&A session with Galveston Bay Foundation staff on site. The presentation will discuss water conservation tools like Water My Yard, the environmental benefits of reducing freshwater usage and collecting rainwater, as well as proper rain barrel preparation, installation instructions and tips.
Participants who purchase a rain barrel and kit can pick up their supplies between 10:00 and 10:30 AM and opt to stay for the hands-on installation presentation and educational water conservation event, or utilize a video link for instructions at a later date.
Pre-registration is required to reserve a barrel but the event itself is free and open to all, so please bring family and friends.
