Discover Cambridge’s industrial heritage: guided walk from Cambridge North Railway Station to Riverside.
Cambridge Industrial Archaeology Group presents a walking tour, led by Museum volunteers, which will explore Cambridge’s industrial history hiding in plain sight all around us!
The walk will begin from the foyer of Cambridge North Railway Station, and follow a route along the river Cam, itself once teeming with industries and an important trade route.
As well as railways, discover the local industrial heritage of bridges, ferries, maltings, scientific instrument makers, electronics and broadcasting, and more!
With your guides, discover traces still to be seen and stories to be told of the industries and the workers of the past.
The tour will begin at Cambridge North Railway Station and end at Cambridge Museum of Technology, home of Cambridge’s industrial heritage, where you will be able to explore the displays.
Entry to the Museum after the walk will be included in your ticket (£16): please bring copy of your receipt (electronic or printed)
