On Monday, April 14th at 5pm at the historic Parry Barn, as part of our Annual Speaker Series, Shane Scanlon Blische, a lifelong resident of New Hope Borough and an avid railroad enthusiast, will discuss the railroad history of New Hope and Lambertville from its beginnings to today, including the Pennsylvania Railroad in New Jersey, the Reading Railroad in Pennsylvania, and the trolley line that linked the two river towns.Shane has worked and volunteered for the nearby Black River & Western Railroad for 10 years and has been involved in several other railroad and historical societies.
A reception after the talk will enable participants to meet the speaker and discuss the topic.
