🚆 Join Me on a Scenic Train Trip to Sai Yok Noi on 10 May!
On Saturday, 10 May, I’ll be taking the State Railway of Thailand’s Special Tourist Train No. 909/910 to Sai Yok Noi Waterfall in Kanchanaburi, and you’re welcome to tag along! This is one of the most scenic train journeys in Thailand, following the historic Death Railway and passing through stunning landscapes.
What to Expect
🚉 Departing from Bangkok Station (Hua Lamphong) early in the morning, the train consists of three carriages—one 2nd Class (A/C) and two 3rd Class (fan, open windows). Seats on the left side have the best views, so book early if you can! I am in Car 1.
🛑 Stops along the way:
✅ Nakhon Pathom – 40 minutes to explore Phra Pathom Chedi and grab breakfast.
✅ River Kwai Bridge Halt – 25 minutes to walk on the famous Bridge over the River Kwai and take photos.
✅ Tham Krasae Wooden Trestle Bridge – One of the highlights of the trip! The train slows down so you can take photos of the river views and the cliffside.
🌿 Destination: Sai Yok Noi Waterfall
The train goes beyond Nam Tok Station and stops near Sai Yok Noi Waterfall, where we’ll have a few hours to relax. You can bring a picnic, take a refreshing dip, or simply enjoy the peaceful surroundings. Make sure you return to the train on time—this is a strict schedule!
🛑 Stop in Kanchanaburi on the way back
Before returning to Bangkok, we’ll have a 1-hour stop in Kanchanaburi. This is a great opportunity to visit the War Cemetery, grab a bite at the night market, or just stretch your legs.

• 3rd Class (fan, open windows): 120 baht
• 2nd Class (A/C, reclining seats): 240 baht
• You’ll need to book your own ticket in advance at any SRT station or via the D-Ticket app.
