Planning a new park takes lots of time and energy, and it takes you! Join the Rail Creek Park Master Plan Team on Wednesday, Oct. 29 from 5 to 7 P.M. at Shawnee Fire Station 71, 6501 Quivira and see they progress they've made so far.
The team will be available for questions and to hear your input.
The Rail Creek Park Master Plan Team is going to set up shop at Fire Station 71 for three days and we want you to see what they’re up to. The workshop will be open to the public that evening from 5 to 7 P.M. where the team will be available for questions and input.
The park has long been envisioned as a bike-centric park with a variety of trails and play elements for all ages, and our community survey certainly showed strong support for that.
No final decisions have been made about what’s going into the park, however, so we want your reactions to the possibilities as they take shape during the workshop. The team will be working on visualizing options each day, and there to show you how they’re taking shape each evening.
