Rag Wreath No Sew Workshop at Manchester Art Gallery

To celebrate the launch of Manchester Art Gallery's new Fashion Gallery we are running a programme of events in partnership with Stitched Up, focusing on re-use, mending and upcycling. Linking to Dandy Style, the inaugural exhibition exploring 250 years of British Men's Fashion.

The Rag Wreath Workshop is the first of these events. Believe it or not Christmas 2022 is just around the corner so it’s time to dust off the fairy lights and get festive! Join us in the Studio at Manchester Art Gallery for an afternoon of wreath making with a difference, using 100% reclaimed fabric.

The talented team from Stitched Up will show you how to use up a variety of fabric scraps and make a beautiful addition to your seasonal decor that you can proudly use every year. All materials will be provided including the wreath base. This is a mixed age workshop suitable for ages 14+ but any participants under the age of 16 will require a parent/guardian to book and attend with them.
